2020 March Bullet Journal Set Up

Finally March is here! I hope you had a good leap day, especially since it was a Saturday. We are entering the last stretch of winter and spring will be here before we know it. I am excited for March and the adventures it will bring. I am going abroad this month, so I will have plenty to keep my busy.

Foe this month I wanted to use three colors again and this time they were influenced by the location I am traveling to later this month, Scotland! It will be my first time to Scotland and I am excited beyond belief. My trip also influenced the theme for this month which is travel! Scotland, from the pictures, looks beautiful and has many mountains and islands. We plan on traveling all around the country so hoping to see much of the beautiful landscape. I saw this little mountain sketch on Pinterest and eyed it for my cover page. I also added in the little paper planes around March to add more to that side of the cover. Then I colored them in with the blue and the green.

I have to say, that I really like how this page turned out. I found travel themed sketches and drew them around my month. The bottom right is a drawing of Loch Ness because it is one of the places I am going to see. I don’t really believe there is a sea creature there but I heard its a nice place to visit, plus it one of the most famous places in Scotland. So how could we not? The green drop shadow around the month was a last minute addition and I am glad I did it. Add more dimension to the page.

Now, this page I love. The globe on the habits page tuned out really well in my opinion. I had to pat myself on the back for that one. Plus I used washi tape for the first time. Although, I did have to do my habit trackers a little different to fit them into the Polaroid frames. The camera on the goals page I liked more when it wasn’t colored in. Maybe it has to do with that I am not a big fan of brown, but I needed it for other pages that you will see. So I wanted to add it to other pages and I thinking maybe I didn’t have to.

The brain dump page is where I need the brown, for the wood distance sign. I am fine with it on these pages, but I should of kept it to a minimum on the others. The suitcase was actually pretty simple to draw. However, the playlist list are probably gonna be to small to write all the song information I usually do. It will work out though.

For the first week, I used a templet I saw on Pinterest. It had the perfect amount of boxes and I knew I wanted to do a To Do list on one of the pages. I drew a Scotland flag and made up a plaid design in two of the boxes. I continues the plaid on the next page for the To Do list. And look, more washi tape! I don’t know how much of the tape I will use going forward, but we will see.

I really like how most of this spread turned out. I could use with a little less brown, but there are some parts that I really love. I am excited to go to Scotland this month, and I will try to keep you updated on Instagram. Plus I will probably be writing post on it when I get home.
