2020 September Bullet Journal Set Up

September, as my mom says, is the best month of the year. She may be a little biased since her birthday is in September, but it is an exciting month. The reasons for it being exciting this year are a little different, but you have to make do with the circumstances. I am still excited for labor day since I am getting away for it, the playoffs for the NHL are in full swing, and hopefully it will start to cool off here in Texas.

For this month, I wanted to do a simple theme and I have been seeing many space themes by others, so I decided to follow suit and do stars. I was thinking about doing just a black and white layout, but I added the gold after I also added the washii tape. I haven’t utilized my tapes often, so I added it to this months main decor. Although they don’t have stars or really the space theme, I liked how they looked with them. I actually added a quote this month too. I don’t usually have them, so this month’s set up has been quite different than others in many ways.

I kept my month layout pretty simple, but I did add the month name above it, which I have not done in some time. I did not feel like drawing a ton of stars so it adds to the design without wearing me out with the drawing part. if you have seen my past layouts, you know that adding smaller cursive over larger lettering is one of my favorite title looks. I then finished off the month with doing the dates in black over small gold circles. The black washii tape I only added on the right page because of space, and the tape has some quotes printed on it to add to the design.

To change it up for the next spread, I did much larger gold stars. I think I will fill in the habit squares in black this month as to not have too much gold on the page by the end of the month. Though, I haven’t been the best at my habits last month so I did not fill them in to much. With the larger starts you can see the other shape of star I used besides the regular five point start well. I also used the little star burst to add more shapes. I tried to differ my titles and so these were the one I utilized.

I really wanted to one page bordered with the tape and I figured the brain dump page was the best option for this. I need most of the page for writing throughout the month but I can make the page stand out with the design on the tape. For the goals page I did a larger star again and then add another moon like I did on the cover page. I am thinking as I write down my goals I will add blank stars to fill in as I complete them.

Lastly, I have my first weeks layout. I usually mess up on this page by starting to write Monday for the first day, but this month I magically did not do that! I used tape to separate the days, but I did end up doing too many divisions. I decided to just put a to do list in the extra space since the days are smaller than usual, so I can add extra things in there. I wrote the days in black along with the date, but I put the date within a gold star. I hope you liked this layout. I am looking forward to this month besides the journaling part. I hope you have a fun September!
